an anniversary edition dedicated to reunion, kinship and celebration, featuring 50 artistic projects from 21 countries.

Ten editions, eighteen years of existence, 503 artists from 55 countries and 513 previously unseen photographic installations created specifically for the city of Vevey. To these achievements can be added 41 books published, 22 prize winners and 39 special mentions awarded through the various prizes and support programmes. These figures bear witness to the scale of the work accomplished by Images Vevey in producing and disseminating contemporary photography on an international level. 22 Since its creation in 2008, the Biennale Images Vevey has established itself as Switzerland’s foremost visual arts biennial and as an international benchmark for contemporary photography. The 2026 edition marks the Biennale’s tenth edition — an anniversary edition that underscores the continuity and singularity of an event which, every two years, transforms the city of Vevey into a vast field of visual experimentation. With each edition, the Biennale brings together artists, audiences and media from around the world around a unique concept: bespoke photographic installations conceived in close dialogue with the sites that host them. Indoors and outdoors, in public space, in museums and in venues specially taken over for the occasion, Vevey becomes a cityas-image, shaped by monumental, immersive and site-specific projects.
